UK Election: Boris Johnson’s Conservative Party wins in UK election, hopes to get Brexit done

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his Conservative Party secured a stunning victory in the UK’s general election. Conservative Party secured 365 seats out of 650 seats more than a 70 seat majority and the opposition Labour party secured 203 seats. In this election campaign Boris Johnson made only a promise that is to get Brexit done. This gave his party a crushing victory in UK’s general election and this paves the way for Brexit to be done.

What is Brexit? News around Brexit deal.

Brexit is the blend of “Britain” and “exit”. Brexit is the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union.

The European Union is a unified trade and monetary body of 28 member countries which was built after World War Two to integrate economic power of European countries and allow their citizens to move between nations to live and work.

Now, Britain wants to exit from this EU and wants to make his own trade agreements.

In the June 2016 referendum, 52 per cent of British voters voted to leave and in 2017, UK government formally announced its withdrawal with a two year process to conclude that process. Currently the deadline is 31 January 2020.

Now with this victory, everyone is hoping that Brexit will be done and UK will be out of EU by January 2020. Once the Brexit deal happens then UK would be able to sign and implement its own trade agreements with other countries. After this stunning victory in UK’s general election , Boris Johnson in his first speech called for closure on Brexit and he promised to work “round the clock” to repay the trust of the voters.
