India’s first coronavirus case was found in Kerala. So far, three coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the state of Kerala. The patients have been kept in isolation ward and are being monitored. The Central government has advised people to be more vigilant as a third case is registered in the country. All the Indian states have been alerted to stop the spread of Coronavirus.
After the third Coronavirus case in Kerala, Kerala government has declared Corona as a state disaster. Kerala Health Minister K.K. Shailaja said that the situation in Kerala is in control and the condition of all the three Coronavirus patients is stable.
Kerala Health Minister K.K. Shailaja also said that 3367 individuals are under observation and their health condition remains satisfactory. The health department officials in the state are being monitoring the condition of coronavirus and all the precautionary measures are being taken to stop the spread of Coronavirus in the state.
However, the second Coronavirus case patient was discharged from the isolation ward on Thursday after his two consecutive samples sent for testing turned out negative and the patient will be in will be in home quarantine for the remaining observation days. The test results of other two patients have also come out negative but waiting for their consecutive negative results from National Institute of Virology, Pune. If the consecutive test results are also found negative, then they will be discharged according to sources.
Coronavirus effect on Kerala Tourism
Kerala is famous for its tourism and the state has more revenue from its tourism industry. But now the situation in the state is different. After three Coronavirus cases found in Kerala, the tourists who have done their prior bookings are cancelling their bookings. The Kerala government has already declared Corona a state disaster. Kerala tourism minister Kadakampally Surendran said that Coronavirus is also affecting the Kerala tourism and bookings in Hotels are being cancelled and this virus has more impact on hotels. He told the state assembly on Tuesday that prior booking for the months of April and May have been cancelled due to the coronavirus effect on the state.
